Half Moon Bay, February 22, 2016—Parents, students, educators and visitors to the Half Moon Bay High School can now register, learn about individual schools, see upcoming events, access calendars, contact staff and access student tools more quickly and easily than ever before with its newly upgraded website. A welcoming video featuring the winter Spirit Assembly helps showcase student talent and enthusiasm. An updated drop-down menu system featuring bell schedules, community service information, and several important online forms now help new teachers, parents and the local community get a quick read on what is happening inside school walls.
“The updated site has made things easily accessible to teachers, students, parents, and community members alike. Stakeholders are easily navigating the site to receive updates and information regarding what is going on at our school and gain access to the resources they need in a timely fashion. The site reinforces the use of School Loop and all the wonderful things it does to streamline communication around our students success.” Tiffany Zammit, Assistant Principal shares.
Hosted and designed by the communication management system, School Loop, the Half Moon Bay High School website acts as a hub for the school community, aggregating news and updates about sports events, academic achievements, school board activities, special services, technology, and more. The easy to navigate and intuitive system provides a direct avenue for stakeholders to directly get in touch with teachers and education professionals.
Parents interested in moving to the community and enrolling students at the school can easily drill down to learn more about the school’s foundation, athletics, and booster club, as well as view videos uploaded from Cougar Broadcasting, the school’s video channel. New organizational features also streamline access to the school’s quality, student accountability reports and other crucial detailed information.
Schools play a central role in all communities, and as with other businesses and organizations, their online presence remains their most powerful tool for communication and public relations within that community. A website designed to reflect the superior quality of the district’s mission, goals, values, and everyday work is as crucial to achieving transparency and effective communication.
