Website Conversion for E-Rate Customers

Convert to a free website and save thousands

On December 2, 2009, the FCC announced a tentative decision to no longer fund web hosting with E-Rate federal funds starting in 2011 (see FCC Notice of Proposed Rule Making). At best, web hosting might be eligible for Priority 2 funding, or it may be eliminated from eligibility altogether. Their logic is that public websites are non-essential when it comes to educating students. School Loop shares this view, and has been offering School Loop Standard for free since its launch.

School Loop Standard, a world-class hosted CMS with unlimited storage and bandwidth, is free. Used by districts like Los Angeles Unified, School Loop Standard will allow your district to save the money previously budgeted for websites.

You can sign up today and convert to School Loop Standard yourself, or we will convert your website to School Loop Standard for you. We can’t do this for free (sorry!), but we will only charge you the one year out-of-pocket expense for your current sites. So if you are using E-Rate funds, your cost is only the portion you would pay anyway. For this fee, we’ll create a design similar to what you have, and migrate all of your content.

Start putting your resources to work helping students. Over a multi-year period, many districts can save hundreds of thousands of dollars.
